Well here she is, finished at last! (well sort of, I'm not 100% happy with her left (our right) leg)
Those of you that have been with me from the start will recall that I'm doing this as a training exercise I've set myself in photorealism. That's the good thing about being self taught, you get to choose your own exercises
I'm very pleased with the results, it's the first time I've drawn PVC/leather and the first time I've ever tried drawing anything as detailed as that fan aswell. So I think I'll give myself a pass. Yeah you get to mark your own work too!
Time taken approx. 46 hours.
Drawn on A2 Bristol Board using 4H, 2H, H, HB, 2B, 7B and 9B pencils (the H, HB & 2H were 0.5mm mechanical pencils) I used very soft colour shapers for blending the fan and PVC and cotton buds for blending the skin and of course the good old trusty kneadable eraser for highlighting and making mistakes disappear like magic. what mistakes?!
Credits: is the gorgeous person I have to thank for the reference, having this absolutely amazing picture in her stock gallery was quite a surprise as it's a work of art, but I'm glad that's where it was otherwise I may never have found it and here's the link [link]
The WIPs for this are in my scraps and I've tried to explain my technique as I've worked through it if you're interested.
I think that's it, can't think of anything I want to add, oh except to those people who spotted a couple of off bits in my WIPs, I worked on correcting them, I hope they look better and thank you.
Wow, my watch-list is just jam-packed with great pencilwork today! I can't find anything to criticize in this, but I like the fan and the clothing the most. This is the best thing in your gallery so far, IMO.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. You can teach anyone to draw what they see with their eyes. It's all together different to teach someone to draw what they see with their mind's eye!
