Another update.
6 more hours spent working on this, taking me to a total of 27 hours up to now.
I've worked on her other arm, the armpit isn't right but I've got a lot of black to go in that area so I'll not correct it yet. AND I got my first 9B pencil yesterday so today I made a start on the leather. I like how it's looking so far, there are still some mid tones to add I think but at the moment I'm quite pleased with my first attempt at a pretty tricky material. For the leather I'm using 4H, H, HB, 2B, 7B and 9B pencils. My other WIPs explain the pencils I used for the other areas.
The reference pic is from the wonderful gallery of and the link is here [link]
Oh my Ruth you have knoked my bloody socks off with this , all that time spent looking at the leather has well paid off, this is stunning. I dont often get lost for words but this is one of those ocassions, I take my hat off to you and bow in your presence lol, this really is fab and I cannt wait to see the finished result, infact it is that good Im gonna fav it right now!!!!!!!!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
