Well here he is, after about 70 hours of pencil on paper.
Tommy is a friend of my husband and as he has such an interesting face I wanted to draw him. My hubby took a photo of him sitting in our car during a break from choosing slate for a house they were working on at a quarry. Stats: A2 Bristol Board H wooded + HB, B & 2B 0.5 mechanical pencils. Kneadable eraser for highlights and cotton buds for blending areas. That's it then! Thanks for the great words of encouragement from my friends! I'll be putting the WIPs into my scraps, so they can be viewed there if anyone's interested.  |
